[March 19, 2021, Taipei] Bank SinoPac has long taken action to care for the local community and has launched the "Home from Above . Sustainable Harvest" program from now on to support children in the production of documentaries of their hometowns from their own perspective. The President of Bank SinoPac, Mr. Eric Chuang noted that SinoPac collaborated with Program the World Association (PTWA), hoping to know our hometowns through the lens of our children while catching a glimpse of our homeland, Taiwan. This would enable us to fulfill our corporate social responsibility with more forward-looking actions and goals. We hope to call on people from all walks of life to love and protect this land of Taiwan, turning rural areas into attractive places, ignite the spark of hope, light up the future of these children and allow the local characteristics to pass through generations.

Nurture the youth with Po-lin Chi's spirit, explore and document stories for their hometowns

Bank SinoPac along with PTWA, which is dedicated to narrowing the urban-rural education gap, embraced the spirit of Po-lin Chi, the director of the documentary, Beyond Beauty: Taiwan from Above, and joined forces to nurture more youths with Po-lin Chi's spirit. PTWA Chairman and Professor at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Wen Yu Su commented that PTWA had initiated the "Home from Above" program since 2017 and partnered with 23 schools in the past four years to guide children in the exploration and recording of stories in their hometowns. Step by step at a time, PTWA has planted the seeds for connecting the children with this land in the hope that they would spontaneously have more contributions towards their hometowns in the future.
