[2022.05.05, Taipei] Climate change has become one of the greatest risks to the global economy and the planet's survival. The documentary "Enigma: The Chinese Crested Tern     " was supported by SinoPac Holdings and filmed by director Liang Chieh-Te. The documentary's film appreciation screening will be held in Northern, Central, and Southern Taiwan once the recent epidemic subsides. In addition to inviting employees and their families, we will also join hands with our clients to support this meaningful eco-documentary film, which took 20 years to film. Through this documentary, SinoPac Holdings stated that it hopes to raise the awareness of environmental protection among its employees and the general public and do its part for biological conservation and environmental sustainability.

The mythical Chinese Crested Tern was recognized as extinct more than 60 years ago by the world. After accidentally capturing an image of one on the Matsu Islands in 2000, director Liang Chieh-Te started a conservation and documentary film project with the help of multinational ecologists. Filming this documentary took 20 years to accomplish! With help from around the globe, this rare migratory bird has multiplied from only eight birds to about 100 birds worldwide.

The documentary film witnesses the miracle of species and life and reveals the crisis our marine eco system  faces. Governments and enterprises have joined the ranks to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions. SinoPac Holdings' Board of Directors also approved the 2050 net-zero pledge and will join hands with stakeholders to initiate a low-carbon transformation plan, using SinoPac Holdings' influence to lead employees and clients to work together from various aspects, such as investment and credit.

SinoPac Holdings has always used concrete actions to implement the concept of a sustainable environment. Over the past two years, we have continued to call on the entire community to join the "A Million Acts of Green" campaign. This year, more than 170 operating locations joined  Earth Day, the one-hour lights-off event, in March. Starting with ourselves, we call for a simple act of green every day through joint advocacy with environmental groups to make the Earth a better place.
