SinoPac Holdings Wins Five Awards at AREA, Chairman Chen Shi-Kuan Receives Responsible Business Leadership Award

At the prestigious Asia Responsible Enterprise Awards (AREA) ceremony held on June 28 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, SinoPac Holdings Chairman Chen Shi-Kuan was honored with the " Responsible Business Leadership Award." SinoPac Holdings also received four additional awards: the "Green Leadership Award," the "Investment in People Award," the "Social Empowerment Award," and the "Corporate Sustainability Reporting Award," making it a big winner and highlighting its outstanding performance in sustainable development, which has gained significant international recognition.

Chen Shi-Kuan has won the " Responsible Business Leadership Award" for the second consecutive year. Her unique leadership style, characterized by gentle firmness, and her forward-looking management philosophy, which balances performance growth and risk management, have led the board in overseeing and deepening sustainable governance. She has also emphasized the cultivation of sustainability expertise and literacy among all employees, guiding the company towards its sustainable development goals. This award reaffirms her exceptional leadership in corporate sustainability.

SinoPac Holdings has pledged to achieve net-zero emissions in its own operations by 2030 and its entire asset portfolio by 2050. The company has established science-based targets (SBT), which were validated in January 2024. SinoPac Holdings actively promotes environmental and resource management and has built an "Environmental Sustainability Data Collection Platform" to effectively address data collection issues related to the environment for the holding company and its subsidiaries, significantly improving data quality. The company also supports green procurement and strengthens sustainable supply chain management, initiating collaborations with stakeholders and external experts. Through education, training, communication, and guidance, SinoPac Holdings works with suppliers to drive carbon reduction and transition efforts. These outstanding achievements have earned SinoPac Holdings the "Green Leadership Award."

Facing the challenges of transformation in the financial industry, the quality and quantity of talent have become crucial issues. To achieve the dual goals of sustainable talent development and appropriate career growth, SinoPac Holdings has launched the " A 360-degree Employee Development Program," dedicated to cultivating a comprehensive talent chain and establishing a deep and broad Talent Pool. Today, the transparency and quality of sustainability information disclosure are highly valued by stakeholders. SinoPac Holdings' sustainability report is prepared in accordance with international sustainability standards or frameworks such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, and IR. The report is supplemented with charts and visual presentations, as well as a reader-friendly layout, providing stakeholders with comprehensive, easy-to-read, and easy-to-find sustainability information. This has earned SinoPac the "Corporate Sustainability Reporting Award."
