Sustainable Governance and Vision

SinoPac Holdings upholds the sustainability vision of "Fulfillment of a Beautiful Life Through Finance" and provides financial total solutions with sincerity, integrity and profession. SinoPac Holdings has been established for over 70 years. All employees have insisted on this original intention, and all members of the Board of Directors have done their utmost to guide the management to forge ahead steadily in the hope of creating a bright future for employees, customers, and shareholders. SinoPac Holdings officially established the Sustainable Development Committee in 2018 to integrate its core financial competencies for sustainable development. It has upheld the four sustainable development missions, namely Ethics and Decency, Wealth Building, Environmental Sustainability, and Social Responsibility, and set five sustainability themes, namely Fulfillment of Trustworthy Governance, Fulfillment of Innovative Service, Fulfillment of Healthy Workplace, Fulfillment of Green Operations, and Fulfillment of Inclusive Growth, based on three aspects of sustainable development including environment, society, and corporate governance (ESG). SinoPac Holdings has taken concrete actions by establishing a roadmap for sustainable development, along with short-term, medium-term, and long-term action plans to fulfill its corporate social responsibility.

"Mitigate and Adapt to Climate Change" is one of SinoPac Holdings’ three sustainability commitments. To implement the Sustainable Development Roadmap and enhance ESG risk management mechanisms, we integrated climate change risks into our“Risk Management Policy” and established the "Guidelines for the Management of Climate-Related Risks and Opportunities" to strengthen the management of climate risks and opportunities. We have assessed the climate related risks and opportunities, identified the financial impacts in various climate scenarios for the physical risks and transition risks, and implemented responsive mitigation or adaptation measures accordingly.

Sustainable Finance's businesses include corporate banking, retail banking, asset management, wealth management or private banking, and investment banking. This statement applies to SinoPac Holdings and its five subsidiaries, Bank SinoPac, SinoPac Securities, SinoPac Securities Investment Trust, SinoPac Leasing, and SinoPac Venture Capital, and mainly to business activities in Taiwan. Overseas subsidiaries or branches are governed by the regulations of the local competent authority.

Externally, the Company uses the industrial-academic collaboration and internship programs with universities and colleges to help students who are interested in finance take their studies into real practice, narrow down the industry-academia gap, and cultivate future talents.
