(MAY 24, 2004) SinoPac Holdings announces that it has bought back 19,649,000 shares, or 0.52% of its outstanding shares, from the market at NT$17.0 per share during the period of 25 March 2004 and 24 May 2004. These shares will be transferred to employees in the coming three years.
